It is week six which means we are halfway through the process. Some things have stayed the same, but most things have greatly changed. last week when I lost all my videos, it turns out that I couldn't actually recover all of them. There is so much on my camera that it would take hours to transfer it all from the camera to my phone and computer. This has become a major setback because before, I had all the videos I had so far stored in the file. They were unedited but they were together and they were there. Now, I have to get back all that I lost and edit again all the videos that were edited before. The only thing that is the same now is the audio and the music I planned on using.

It is week five and I have run into an actual problem. My storage got full on my camera so as a temporary solution, I decided to move all the photos and videos from my camera to my phone so that i could clear out my camera while also having everything backed up. My phone storage got full after and froze up and would not let me do anything until I deleted some things. I decided to go into my settings and reset my home screen because that would reset my apps and delete unnecesary stuff that I do not need. Well... I was wrong. I lost all my pictures and everything. My phone completely reset everything. At this point, I was stressing to say the least. I told my mom and she said that I should appreciate her more because when we got my new phone, she put Google Photos on it so that all of my stuff would automatically be saved on there. So, I have all my videos still and I am going to start keeping them on my phone so that they can be on Google Photos without effecting my storage.
This is week four which means that I am a third of the way through my project. I am happy with the amount of videos I have so far but still need many, many more. This week, I am going to film some things with friends after school, the football game Friday, and try to plan a day trip somewhere on Sunday. I work every day after school and all day on Saturdays and so Sundays are the only full day I have to do something. Even then, I have church in the morning and usually spend the rest of the day doing homework or just sleeping to catch up from the week. My goal for this week is to continue to video as much as possible and not worry about editing at all because that will take out a lot of stuff I may have to use down the road.
Not very much is being accomplished this week. I had friends that came down from New Jersey and planned to film some things with them because we would be doing a lot. The only videos i got with them down here were some birds flying in front of the sunset over the city in Winston. There also was not a football game or anything too interesting because the hurricane came through. Many things were closed, shut down, or broken. Since this week did not have a lot of filming involved, I decided to edit with what i already had. My plan is to keep filming as much as possible and continue to do what I can with what I am given.
This is the second official week of the project and I have accomplished very much. I have chosen the song that will be used for the background of the video. It is relatively slow but also has a very good beat to it. The words to the song are important to me in certain ways because they make me think of specific things that I have done and places that I have been and it just makes me feel a special type of happy. A thought that has been in the back of my mind has been to add some sort of poem or audio of a speech on top of the music too. It would be related to the theme of the video and would flow good with the music. My goal for this week is to go to the fair a couple times and shoot some cool things there with all the lights.
This is the first official week of the project and I have been gathering thoughts and ideas for what to do. I have already put together some old clips that i have and set the foundation for it. I have also been doing a lot of research with music to try to find that perfect song that will be not too slow but also not too hardcore. I need something chill and somewhat slow but also with a good beat and hit to it. I also do not want it to be a very popular song because that is just basic. The music is important to me because it sets the mood to the whole video. You do not want a video of people jumping around and having the time of their life being set to "piano man" by Billy Joel. Once i find the flow of the music, I will be able to figure out how i want my clips laid out and cut.
The purpose of this blog is to be to track my progress of a video I will be creating. To begin, I love filming. I am not positive what exactly my video will be about but I do know the general and vague idea that it will be about my life and all the beautiful aspects of it; Friends, family, journeys, trips, food, sights, stories, and memories. My goal is to make people feel something at the end of this when the final product is revealed. Whether that personal revelation be inspiration, a desire, or any strong emotion, I want people to realize something special. Let's see how it goes...
